Answers to Exercises in Ch 24

Class Answers

1. For we are not preaching ourselves rather (we are preaching) Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves (as) your servants on account of Jesus (for Jesus’ sake – cp. 2Co 4:5).

2. The one who raised the Lord Jesus will raise even us (us also) with Jesus (cp. 2Co 4:14).

3. The disciple said that he would die for (on behalf of) Jesus.

4. We ourselves will not raise ourselves, but Jesus will raise us in the last day.

5. Immediately the evil one took away the thing which was sown beside the road.

6. If you are loving one another, you all will be disciples of the One who died for you (on your behalf).

7. If you believe on Jesus, you will remain with Him forever.

8. The one who is loving the Son is loving also the One who sent Him.

9. There will be joy over the sinner after he has repented on the basis of the word of Jesus.

10. The ones who killed Jesus and persecuted His disciples will cast us out also.

11. After these men returned to God they remained in His Church.

12. When God has raised the dead, we will be with the Lord forever and ever.

13. I did not believe on myself, but (I believed) on the Lord.

14. It is lawful for us to receive gifts from one another, but not to kill nor to persecute one another.

15. On the one hand this is the ruler who killed the prophets, but on the other hand that is the sinner who repented at the word of Jesus.

16. But If we say this against him, we fear the crowds, for they say Him to be a prophet (that He is a prophet).

17. He will send to them teachers and prophets, in order that they might repent and might fear God.

18. Blessed are not the ones who are glorifying themselves, rather (blessed are) the ones who are glorifying the One who sent His Son into the world.

19. While Jesus was coming to them walking upon the sea, the disciples who saw Him were fearing.

20. These things we will say to the prophets who have been sent to us.
