Class Answers

 

1. Whoever might not receive you, this one the king will not receive.

2. Whatever (things) we might do to you, you also will do to us.

3. When a certain one had asked them what he might eat, they answered him saying that it was necessary for him to eat the bread which was in the house.

4. Whose (i.e., belonging to whom) will all these things be in the last day?

5. When the Son of man comes, who will be the ones believing?

6. Whoever might break one of the commandments is doing what is not lawful to do.

7. The things which the prophet said to you, still being with you, these things even the ones who preached the gospel to us will say.

15. But the one who had been asked was saying, “Why are you asking me?” For I am not desiring to answer you anything.”

16. Therefore a certain one of the disciples was saying to the apostle, “What will this man do?” But the apostle immediately answered him saying, God will do the things which He is desiring, and all the things which He is desiring are good.

17. The things which he was seeing the Lord doing, these things he himself also was desiring to do.

 

Thompson’s Answers

 

1. Whoever does not receive you, this one the king will not receive.

2. Whatever (things) we do to you, also you (shall) do to us; or,... even you... 

3. When a certain one had asked them what he should eat, they

answered him saying that he had to (i.e. it was necessary for him to) eat the bread which was in the house.

4. Whose (i.e., belonging to whom) shall all these things be in the last day?

5. When(ever) the Son of man comes, who shall the believers be?

6. Whoever breaks (should break) one of the commandments does what is not lawful to do.

7. The things which the prophet said to you, while he was still with you, these things even those who told us the Good News will say.

8. If anyone goes (should go) to them from the dead: they will repent.

9. Whoever does not hear the prophets, neither will he repent if he should see someone of/from the dead.

10. Whatever persons say things which are not true will not receive any fruit of/from their work.

11. He was saying (said repeatedly) that if someone be raised from the dead they will repent.

12. Those who were in Galilee asked the prophet if the dead would hear the voice of the Lord.

13. He said therefore to them that in the judgment all men would hear the Lord.

14. When the Pharisees had come into a certain village, they asked those who were in it saying,  “Where are those who belong to the prophets for the things which the men who are in Galilee say concerning them are not true.” 15. And the one who had been asked kept saying (was saying), “Why do you ask me? For I do not want to answer you anything.”

16. Therefore a certain one of the disciples was saying to the apostle, “What shall this man do?” But the apostle immediately answered him saying, “God will do what (what things, the things which) He wills, and all things which He wills are good.”

17. What things (the things which) he was seeing the Lord doing, these things he also (or, he himself also) was wishing to do (continually).
